Kindred Canines staff will now be offering a Rescue Dog Orientation (RDO) for those of you who either have adopted a new rescue dog or are thinking of adopting a rescue dog. The goal is to give you a glimpse into the world of a rescue dog. We want all placements to be lifetime placements and for that to happen, you need to have an idea of what to expect.

This class will cover what to expect the first few weeks after adopting, how to deal with the little problems that will crop up, tricks to dealing with common problems such as separation anxiety and accidents, routine vetting, good dog food vs bad dog food and some basic training tips (especially lead training) as well as a question and answer period.

This class will run approx 1.5 hours long and costs just $10 for the general public and it's free if you adopted a dog from Kindred Canines!

It will be conducted by our resident behaviorist Jess and Tea. Jess will also be available for questions re: behavior problems or to set up training classes after the RDOC.

For questions re: RDOC or dog training/behaviorist consultation or to sign up for the class please email us or call (209) 450-0227.

RDO's inaugural class will be held on October 16th at 7pm, location to be determined.
